The International Conference on Turkish Linguistics (ICTL) has been regularly organized since the first one held at Berkeley/USA (1982).The next fifteen followed at regular intervals: Istanbul, Turkey (1984); Tilburg, The Netherlands (1986); Ankara, Turkey (1988); London, Great Britain (1990); Eskisehir, Turkey (1992); Mainz, Germany (1994); Ankara, Turkey (1996);Oxford, Great Britain (1998); Istanbul, Turkey (2000); Gazimagusa, Cyprus (2002); Izmir, Turkey (2004); Uppsala, Sweden (2006); Ankara, Turkey (2008); Szeged, Hungary (2010); Ankara ODTÜ, Turkey (2012).
The International Conference on Turkish Linguistics (ICTL) is a leading platform where recent studies on Turkish and other Turkic languages are shared and discussed comprehensively. Many Turkish linguistics and Turcologie researchers worldwide participate the conference by presenting Individual papers, Workshops or Posters. The ICTL is held biennially by the prestigious and of long standing universities in Turkey and other countries alternately (see above). The papers and posters presented at the conference is issued as the proceedings book by well-known publishers.
We are pleased to announce the 17th International Conference on Turkish Linguistics which will take place from September 3 to September 5, 2014 in Rouen (Normandy), France, and will be organized by Rouen University.
We invite papers related to Turkish or to other Turkic languages in all linguistic domains.
The official languages of the conference will be English and Turkish. We will do our best in order to make your visit to Rouen (Normandy, France) a scientific benefit and an enjoyable social event.
